Quick Fire – T20 – Fiery opening bowling wins the match for NCC aganist EKCC

Summary by Amal
* NCC won the toss and elected to bat first.
* A couple of good partnerships, between Uday and Praveen and then Uday and Deepak took NCC to 45/2 in 8 overs.
* EKCC then came back strong through some accurate bowling from Akshar and Shreedip to keep the NCC run-rate down. Some bad shots from the NCC batsmen did not help the cause either.
* A last ditch 9th wicket partnership between Shai and Raju added 20 valuable runs and took NCC to 104/8.
* NCC came out all guns blazing for the second half of the game.
* A fiery opening bowling spell by Rajesh (3/12) and Shai (2/8) pegged EKCC on to the back foot from the beginning. They bowled out the first 8 overs, where they claimed 5 EKCC wickets giving away only 20 runs.
* Srinivas and Suresh Bala then came on and kept up the pressure with some accurate bowling.
* The NCC bowlers were supported with some tight fielding and runs were at a premium.
Srinivas (4/13) claimed wickets at regular intervals and EKCC were bundled out for 50.

Quick Fire – T20 – NCC Lost to CCC

CCC won the toss and elected to bat first. The top order clicked this time even though Nationwide managed to send Ram Gadde back to pavillion in the 3rd over. Ravi Dharba (48) played a brilliant knock with some great support on the other side by Sunny Patel (22). Just when things looked bright for CCC, Sunny got run out by Amalraj Somarajan. Jatin Batra started building a partnership with Ravi Kiran but got out cheaply to Praveen Bellamkonda who claimed 2 more wickets including Senthil and Madhu in a quick fashion leaving CCC in some trouble. Abhijeet Deshpande (25) and Dinesh Kamraj (18) hit some quick runs towards the end to take CCC’s total to 133 runs in 20 overs.

Nationwide lost wickets in a steady fashion leaving Sanjeev Deepak (26) only to score some runs from the other end. Amalrajan (22) and Srinivas (18) put up some brilliant show in the lower middle order. CCC’s pacers- Dinesh, Senthil and Madhu- all managed to take 2 wickets each as NCC succumbed to CCC’s bowling with Rushit cleaning up things with 2 wickets as well in the end. CCC won easily by 29 runs as NCC bundled up at 104.

Quick Fire – T20 – Nationwide Lost to Polaris

Polaris bowlers initially stuck to good line and length and restricted Nationwide batsmen.
Abhinav, chaitanya frustrated Nationwide batsmen with their terrific bowling.
Rajesh alone showed resistance and made an excellent 46.
With 55 runs of last 8 overs-thanks to dropped catches, Nationwide managed to reach 115/6 by the end of 20 overs.
Polaris innings started off on shaky ground, losing openers early.
Karthik, Manoj stabilized the innings with 54 run partnership.
Rajesh stuck again by picking 2 quick wickets, but could not hold polaris, and polaris finished comfortably in 19.2 overs.
Rajesh was adjudged Man of the match for his 46 runs and 3 wickets

Quick Fire – T20 – NCC stave off a spirited challenge by Sudhir to defeat RPCC

NCC wins the toss and elects to bat.
NCC loses a wicket early, but two partnerships between Anand (22) and Haragopal and then Anand and Ravi, steady the innings for NCC.
Amalraj (21) and Praveen (15) increase the run rate in the middle overs before valuable runs are added by the NCC lower order to take the total to 123.
A good opening spell by Shai gets a couple of quick RPCC wickets.
Then a very good partnership between Aneesh (21) and Sudhir (55), and later Sudhir and Fahad (28) takes RPCC into a very good position.
Good tight bowling by Amalraj and Arun, along with a couple of wickets by Praveen restricts RPCC to 115

QUICK FIRE T-20 – Rajesh stars in NCC’s victory over UCC

* Uday (29), Rajesh (30) and Anand (20) provide NCC a good start.
* NCC manage 138 in 20 overs.
* A valiant effort from Anurag (37) not enough for UCC as other key batsmen fail.
* Rajesh scalps 3 wickets in a tight spell to earn the rightful player of the match.

NCC started Midwest 2009 with a victory over Cleveland..

Report by Amal –

Cleveland won the toss and decided to field. Ravi and Uday opened the batting. Uday played a few shots and got out. Then Rajesh went in and scored 66 in pretty quick time. Some very good sixes as well. Ravi also got out early and Bellam scored around 20+ runs with Rajesh. After that Muddala and Anand went in and scored a few but got out. Then Amal scored 35* with the lower order batsmen to take the score to 203/9.

In bowling, Shai and Anand started off brilliantly and got 5 wickets in an opening spell between them of 10 overs. Anand got 4 wickets and Shai got 1 wicket. Next change was Muddala and Rajesh. Muddala got 2 wickets and Rajesh got 1. Finally, Shai came back and got the last 2 wickets in 1 over and Cleveland were all out for 92. Very good catching and fielding by the team and very good work by Ravi K behind the stumps. Overall very good team performance

Anand and Muddala Pushed NCC to QF

Akron scored 64/10 in 20 overs, Great bowling by Muddala and deepak 2wkt each..
but credit goes to Rajesh and Shai they started a feary spell 8 overs 10 runs
later NCC were 30/6 and Muddala and Ananad pushed NCC to safe zone..
and we need 5 runs in 2 overs Deepak and Gowtham smashed quick two’s
and need 1 run in six balls..
and gowtham hit the winning shot..
do you beleive gowtham ran for two quick two’s. thanks to his workout
